Three things worth knowing before you start.
Real time
The tax authority already cross-checks your data.
Electronic invoicing, electronic payroll and supporting documents are matched against each other with data analytics. Books that only get tidied up in March are visible long before March.
Monthly
Statements you receive, not statements you request.
A closing calendar with fixed dates, a management report in English and a call to walk through it. Not a folder of files at year end.
Two sets of eyes
A dedicated accountant and a second review.
The person who prepares your close is not the person who signs off on it. That is the difference between an in-house hire and a firm.

In short
The essentials, in three lines.
- 01Outsourced accounting in Colombia covers the full monthly cycle: bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, financial statements under Colombian IFRS, tax filings and the year-end close.
- 02For a foreign-owned company the deliverable is bilingual: filings are made in Spanish as the law requires, while statements and the management report are delivered in English.
- 03The firm assigns a dedicated accountant and applies a second review before every delivery.
Who answers
A licensed Colombian Public Accountant, not a filing agent.
Kathiuska Villegas Padilla is a Contadora Pública with a postgraduate specialization in Tax Management and IFRS certification. She has been a statutory auditor, a finance and accounting director and a group controller before directing the firm. She sets the technical position on every engagement and signs what leaves the office.

Questions
What people ask before they start.
Calls, proposals, management reports and financial statements are delivered in English. Filings with Colombian authorities are prepared and submitted in Spanish, because the law requires it, and we explain each one in English before it is filed.
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do for foreign-owned companies. We first bring the accounting up to date and clean the balances, then start the monthly routine. The catch-up is quoted separately from the monthly fee so you can see exactly what the backlog costs.
We work inside your company's software rather than forcing a migration: Siigo, Alegra, World Office, QuickBooks, Siesa and Zeus are all systems we operate in daily. If you have no system yet, we recommend one against your operation and set it up.
Yes. The monthly package is built to be read by a parent company or an investor who does not speak Spanish: IFRS statements, a management report with the variances explained, and the Colombian filings summarised so a non-Colombian reader understands what was submitted and why.
